Desert Sharks and A Very Special Episode, two of Brooklyn’s favorite underground gloomy grunge/punk groups, have teamed up for a split EP!
When approaching the idea of a split record, Brooklyn underground favorites Desert Sharks and A Very Special Episode decided they wanted to follow a loose nature-based theme for the 4 song release. Inspired by the elements of air, water, earth, and fire, they literally drew their alchemical muses from a hat with Desert Sharks focusing on earth (“Deeper”) and water (“Siren Song”) and A Very Special Episode exploring fire (“Smolder”) and air (“Airwaves”). The four song release is a captivating sampling of both bands' powerful song-writing abilities. Heavy guitars, soaring vocals, and intricate drumming give listeners a powerful taste of their punk and doom-soaked sensibilities.
